Difference Between Milled Dentures And Printed Dentures?
Milled dentures are carved from a solid block of material, resulting in high accuracy, durability, and a more natural appearance, while 3D printed dentures are built layer by layer from resins, offering faster production, lower initial costs, and greater customization. Milled dentures are generally more expensive but provide superior longevity, whereas 3D printing is a more cost-effective and quicker alternative, though often with a shorter lifespan and slightly less precise fit than the highly polished finish of milled dentures. 3D Printed Dentures have a Shorter lifespan (3–5 years) and may require more frequent replacements or repairs compared to milled dentures.
